Born in Westport, Connecticut, to a Swiss mother and American father, Lisanne spent much of her younger years traveling throughout Switzerland, Italy and France. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1985, Lisanne spent six years living in Boston. She made her way to Denver in 1992, practicing faux painting techniques on the walls of every apartment and house she lived in along the way. Not certain if she was ready to make decorative painting a full-time endeavor, Lisanne took a job as telecommunications manager at a Denver-based mutual fund firm. In addition to her technical duties at this firm, Lisanne enhanced their Intranet capabilities, and also devoted much time paving the company's philanthropic course. She left the financial services industry in November of 2001 after being encouraged by friends and former clients to fulfill a lifelong dream of managing her own business and painting full time. After three years in operation, SweetBrush became one of the Denver metro area’s leading faux painting companies. Now re-established in Black Rock, Connecticut, Lisanne continues her excellence on walls, furniture and any surface that stays put long enough for her to paint her magictouch.
